No. trend following is a strategy (albeit lots of variations of “how” exactly to do it).
It’s basically buying a stock in an uptrend, as long is the trend is bullish, the trader/investor hangs onto the stock, once the trend “changes” (from bullish to bearish), they sell the stock.
